A dedicated recording studio for our music production students.
Our first school in Asia, Abbey Road Institute Mumbai, is located inside one of Mumbai’s premier audio recording and production facility, Bay Owl Studios, in Khar West.
Bay Owl Studios has been home to iconic artists such as Divine, Ankur Tewari, Raja Kumari, KSHMR, Ranjit Barot, Jay Sean, Rashmeet Kaur, Nucleya, King, Sona Mohapatra, Neeti Mohan, Karan Kanchan, Raftaar, Amit Trivedi, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Shaan and many, many more.
In 2025, Bay Owl Studios will undergo careful upgrades to our existing studios and develop a new Tech Lab and Production Suite.
With the new upgrades, you will have access to most facilities to work 7 days a week, while the studio can continue to offer plenty of space and privacy to Bay Owl’s commercial clientele.
We’re proud to host our school in a professional studio environment that supports all areas of the education we offer.
Our students learn in a professional studio setting
Regular masterclasses, workshops and sessions
Facilities for recording and post production
Guest Lectures by industry professionals
As a student with us, you’ll spend time learning, recording and developing your skills in our industry-standard facilities as well as participating in recording workshops and masterclasses at Bay Owl Studios with visits to other premium facilities. These take place at different stages of your studies, depending on the modules you’re working on.
Our facilities include:
3 premium recording studios (Studios A, B & C), two of which have professional-standard control rooms with attached recording booths, and the third is a stand-alone live room, that is also patched to the two control rooms as an additional tracking space if required.
We also have 2 additional indie and student friendly studios (D & E) with individual live rooms and a common control room which will be adapted to accommodate our new Tech Lab and Production Suite for the first term.
The Tech Lab is where your lectures will be hosted. It will be equipped with an individual workstation for each student and is complemented by a Production Suite, which students can book.
You will have access to the Institute’s facilities both as part of your timetabled teaching and outside of classes for independently managed recording, production and mixing. You can start your project in the studio and continue recording, editing and mixing on the workstations in the Tech Labs or the Production Suites. Our studios feature a wide array of software and hardware, allowing for various hybrid setups which are both practical and suitable for the modern-day audio production environment.
Arrange a suitable time to speak with our team online or over the phone or visit our institute in person.
